True to form, Motueka lived up to expectations with the spacious park hosting a bonanza of skate, scootering and bmx displays at the weekend. Local riders featured strongly throughout the prizegiving accolades, cleaning up in the junior and open bmx categories. Check out the results and leaderboard standings.
You asked for it, so here it is! The Tasman Skatepark Tour makes a special return to Motueka this September with a Spring Jam for all skate, bike and scooter shredders.
Basketball will be played around the clock, with a 24 hr basketball-a-thon scheduled to take place at the Motueka Recreation Centre on 20 and 21 June. Organised by the Nelson YMCA, and supported by the Tasman Youth Council, the format will include age group tournaments, along with novelty basketball challenges and skills coaching clinics. A heap of spot prizes will be up for grabs.

The Tasman Street Ambassador Service is about to get underway for the summer season, with experienced youth workers returning back to the Richmond and Motueka CBD streets between 8.30pm and 2.30am on weekend evenings.
